everyone has a story to tell

Our lives are made up of stories. We are creating them everyday with every adventure we take, big or small. Some stories are joyful and others are heartbreaking… No matter what kind of story it is, it deserves to be told. If you have a story to tell, tell it!

Stories are told in many different way. For me, I share stories in the photographs that I take.

Some write books, make movies, travel the world speaking, while others sit around a fire and inspire others with their words… No matter what the form your stories take, tell them!

People love stories!!!

People love connecting and being able to relate to each other and one of the most powerful ways to do that is through the stories we tell.

I just got home from WPPI (more on that soon) and one of my favorite booths at the expo was Artifact Uprising. They are an amazing Colorado based company that offer incredible products as a way to PRINT your images. So many times today our photographs don’t ever leave our phones or computers. What a disservice that can often to be to them. I encourage you to print your photos! Whether that’s in the form of a book, a giant canvas on your wall, or a small 4×6 on your nightstand… It doesn’t matter, just print them! There is something very unique about a tangible photograph that a digital file cannot live up to.

Anyways, while at their booth this year I was drooling over all of their unique ways of transferring images from digital to tangible and I saw a quote they had sitting on the corner of the table and it inspired me in a powerful yet simple way. It said “Everyone has a story to tell. Tell on.” It’s such a simple statement, but has incredible meaning.
