*Erica & Josh* winter engagement session
There is something truly magical about a winter engagement session! Especially in the Rocky Mountains!! I am constantly in awe of the stunning beauty that makes up Colorado. Growing up I remember sarcastically thinking that I couldn’t wait to move away because there was absolutely nothing to do… at all!! What a dumb dumb I was! The more I travel the world the more I fall in love with Colorado, my home!
I love shooting in every season of the year. Especially in Colorado because we have such a variety of seasons at any given time! There is something incredibly unique about shooting outside in the winter! The air has a crispness about it and the fresh smell is enchanting!
Lily Lake was absolutely gorgeous for Erica and Josh’s winter engagement session!
I knew the first day I met Erica and Josh that they were going to be amazing! We chatted about their wedding day over coffee and I was quickly drawn to their genuine kindness and joyfulness! My first impression was affirmed right away when I met them at Lily Lake for their engagement session! I had called Erica to let her know that it was cold and very windy in Estes Park in order to make sure that she was comfortable to go ahead with the session… Her response was the best! She told me that they were both super excited for the shoot and that we should go ahead the session! I said OKAY! I love when couples are open to braving less than ideal conditions! Erica and Josh were full of joyful laughter the entire time! Erica was literally giggling and Josh had the biggest smile on his face every time he looked at her!
I am constantly inspired by the love that people share for one another. It is such an amazing gift to witness and capture!!

Their session was amazing and to make the day even better… Shortly after heading home I received an email from Erica that literally made me cry (I’m a sap!) I was simply blown away with her kind words and what a blessing it was to get such a sweet message right after getting home AND before she had seen a single image!
I am so excited for their Wild Basin Lodge wedding this summer! It is going to be absolutely amazing!
