Brittany & Nick’s fall mountain wedding

It was so awesome meeting Nick and Brittany!! It was pretty crazy during the last few weeks leading up to their wedding… With all of the flooding in Estes Park and then Rocky Mountain National Park shutting down just days before their wedding. This would be enough to stress any couple out. However, each time I spoke to Brittany she was hopeful that it would all work out and wasn’t brought down by the possibility of things not going as planned. At one point she told me “at the end of the day we will be married”. I LOVE this in a bride and groom… When they are so wrapped up in the fact that they WILL be married and aren’t discouraged by the details… That’s what LOVE is about and Brittany and Nick truly get that!

They shared their vows at the beautiful Estes Park Resort.

I am in love with Brittany’s dress… The lace and beading is just stunning!!

I used to not be a huge fan of reveals/first looks when I first started doing them… Something about breaking tradition seemed strange to me and I loved the moment when the groom saw the bride walking down the aisle for the first time.. HOWEVER, that has drastically changed over the years and I have come to love this precious moment! Instead of it  being in front of everyone with the possibility of nerves becoming distracting.. A couple chooses to have this intimate and precious moment in the presence of one another and no one else (well, except me:) ). The emotion that is shared in these few minutes is so beautiful! Now, that’s not to say I don’t still like it when a couple doesn’t see each other before the ceremony. It just means that I appreciate both and love capturing the emotion that each moment brings!

Nick’s face when he turned around and saw his beautiful bride was inspiring and truly a testimony to his love for her!

Fall is my favorite time of year… I love the chilly weather… wearing boots, sweaters, scarves and curling up reading a great book! I love love love the color of the leaves and the way the sun shines through them and creates rays of light! I am always super excited when I book up fall weddings! It’s just a magical time of year for me!

Originally we had planned to do a bunch of photos in Rocky Mountain National Park, but with the parks closure and some of Estes Park being inaccessible due to flooding and roads being unsafe we had some rearranging to do… I think the spot we chose was stunning!! There were aspens everywhere and an awesome view of Longs Peak!

Nick and Brittany had an awesome group of friends/family supporting them on their special day!

The colors that they chose complimented each other nicely and all of the details added so much!

Brittany and Nick had such an awesome wedding!!! I was honored to be apart of preserving that for them forever.

Their reception was such a blast! After the formal events were over they had a table with colorful hats, silly sunglasses, glow sticks and mustaches out for the guests to grab and dance the night away! Such an amazing event.
