I absolutely love food! It can be quite a weakness for me… I love chips and guacamole, breakfast tacos from Snoozes, banana and Nutella crepes, a nice juicy cheeseburger.. this list can go on and on… And don’t even get me started on sweets! I love everything sweet. My husbands like to laugh and joke around that I always have something sweet in my purse. However, this month I am making a change! While I do want enjoy all kinds of food – I also want to take care of my body and treat is as the vessel that is going to physically carry me through the rest of my life! Today is day one of a twenty one day raw food reset cleanse that I am doing. I am very excited about this and cannot wait to see how amazing I feel at the end of the twenty one days!

Last night I spent over two hours at the grocery store getting everything for just the first three days of the cleanse… my fridge is packed full and I am just overflowing with excitement!

In 2011 my best friend got married and that motivated me to get into shape and to eat well… In 2012 it was my turn to be the bride and we all know how that can motivate a girl… then in 2013 my other best friend got hitched and so again I was motivated. I noticed that in 2014 I did not have the an event to motivate me and this past month while I was thinking about what I wanted 2015 to look like – I realized that I didn’t only want to eat right and work out because of some upcoming excitement. Instead, I want to do this for me… because it is the thing that will help me to feel better about myself and in the long run will be much more beneficial!

I am sharing this with you for a couple reasons – first, for accountability… If I share my goals with others then I have people to come along side me and encourage me not to give up and secondly to offer the information for anyone else who might be interested in a little raw food reset to jump start a new way of eating!

I am doubly excited that my sweet sister and er fiance will also be doing this raw food reset! It is much more motivating and helpful to have others that understand the process and can hold you accountable! Also, its a bonus to have someone to whine to when you just want that chocolate chip cookie…

Here was today’s breakfast! It is called healing digest – it has 2 cups of purple cabbage, half of a lemon, 3 stalks of celery, and half of a green apple!
