she said yes!!!

I was over the moon excited when Austin contacted me about shooting his proposal to his girlfriend, McKenna. What a romantic idea… It’s rare to have photos of this precious moment as in many cases it’s a private moment and I was just thrilled to be able to capture this for them!! It was fun working out the logistics with Austin of where would be best for this special moment… They had been camping and would be spending one night at the stunning Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park for a night and he planned to propose on the bridge at the Chateau.. It was such a gorgeous spot!!

I cannot find the words to describe how beautiful the moment Austin knelt down and McKenna brought her hands to her face and began to cry as he proposed… The love shared in this time is beyond words. McKenna was shocked and just kept saying ‘I can’t believe it” over and over… It was such an honor to witness the love they share for one another!

My fear of being spotted by McKenna was unnecessary… She was so distracted that even after I came out from hiding she still didn’t notice me. It wasn’t until Austin pointed me out and the excitement on her face in that moment was priceless…

They are a precious couple and their love for one another was very obvious and I LOVED being able to capture those moments of joy after the proposal!

We headed into Rocky Mountain National Park and stopped at my favorite overlook with a STUNNING mountain view for some more photos. It was a blast!
