Wild Basin Lodge Summer Wedding

I love my time when I first arrive at a wedding. Walking into the room where the bride is getting ready with her closest friends and families… There is so much laughter and joy in the air and it always smells absolutely incredible!

The details on Brooke’s dress was stunning! AND she wore Toms! The only shoes I own (besides one pair of boots) are Toms… SO, this was pretty exciting for me!

Wild Basin has two beautiful ceremony sites. One next to the Saint Vrain River and another in a meadow looking out at Meeker Mountain. They are both stunning!!

Adam and Brooke exchanged their vows next to the river and it was beautiful!

I love their “Choose a seat, not a side… We’re all family once the knot it tied” sign. Kala, who works at the Lodge made it for them that day!! How amazing is that?? The awesome people who work at the lodge are always so helpful and accommodating!

Adam and Brooke have a beautiful daughter, Elizah! She was quite a precious flower girl.

Some words from the bride…

Adam and I met watching live music in Denver (which we both love).  Our love story happened very quickly and before you know it our beautiful daughter was born.  It was fun and meaningful having her be a part of our special commitment we made to each other on our wedding day.  Adam asked me to marry him on a camping trip in the middle of the desert in Moab, Utah.  We were on an afternoon hike and when I turned around to look behind me, he was on one knee.  We chose the Rocky Mountains and the Wild Basin Lodge for our wedding because we both love being out in nature, fly fishing and being near rushing rivers.  It took our breath away from the first visit.
I loved wedding planning.  Our engagement was only 3 months, but it felt like there was plenty of time to plan a simple, yet meaningful wedding.  I loved getting crafty with all of the details.
For our honeymoon we are going to Greece and Spain for 3 weeks to explore and eat amazing food!
It meant so much to us to have our family and close friends who traveled across the country to be a part of our day and show their love and support.  Having our close friend Kelley marry us was extremely special.  We put so much thought into our ceremony and it was so simple and meaningful to both of us…Everything from our niece singing to us, planting an aspen tree as our unity symbol that we will plant in our yard, to writing our own vows and having our daughter, Elizah as the flower girl.
