Wild Basin Lodge Wedding Bree + Derek

Bree and Derek had a beautiful intimate summer wedding at the Wild Basin Lodge. They said their i do’s in the lovely meadow with their close friends and family by their side. The joy that radiated from the both of them was truly magical. The weather was amazing and it was simply a perfect day. A perfect wedding day. We first met in a small town called Jacksonville, TX. I briefly met him through a friend one summer when he was home from college. We then got reconnected when he moved to Houston for a job after school. We started spending time together and our friendship grew into something so much more

He proposed to me on December 1st at our home. He loves to garden and grow fresh vegetables so that evening he kept asking me to come check out the orchids that were blooming. When I walked down to look at them I saw a ring hanging off one of the orchids. As I went to pick it up and turn around he was down on one knee.

Derek and I really wanted to have natural beauty in our wedding and that’s why we chose the mountains. I really enjoyed the wedding planning process. We decided on navy, green and gray because we thought it would be perfect for an outdoor afternoon wedding. We were so happy with how everything came together. It was our dream wedding!
