I was so excited to finally photograph this sweet family!!

Joel is our pastor at our home church, Calvary Reach. Him and his wife, Stephanie are our friends. I am honored to call them that. They have been such a tremendous blessing to our family over the last few years.

Ryan and I had both gone to a pretty big church for most of the time we had known each other. I enjoyed it and made some amazing friends, but when we decided it was time to pick a new church… The search began. We tried a handful of different ones and I am SO glad we ended up at Calvary Reach. It is a small church that feels like a family.

I am so thankful for the friend that Joel is to my husband. Making friends as an adult, especially when you are married and have kids can be really hard. It can be difficult put yourself out there and to find people you connect with when you have such limited time to give. I love that Ryan has found another guy that he can talk philosophy and theology with over a beer and a cigar.  It makes my wife heart very happy! 🙂

Joel and Stephanie have created some of the sweetest tiny humans I have ever met! After church their two oldest girls will walk around the building hand in hand with our sweet Adeline. They are always sharing their toys with her and she lights up when they offer new ones to play with.

While I am all for a posed shot or two of everyone smiling at the camera… I find so much joy in capturing people doing their own thing. Laughing together, playing, and simply enjoying this life God has given them.
